Trying to Navigate the Middle of the Road
I needed to do something I haven’t had to do in a long, long time Thursday. Something old school. I actually had to talk to someone face-to-face. You know in person. Remember where you have to actually look at someone? I could even have touched the person if I wanted to.
As those of you have read this blog in the past know. I have become somewhat comfortable with using technology. But then, something happens making me shake my head and set me back Yes, as you can tell I had an issue with a piece of technology this week.
Anyone who has followed my various writings through the years knows how much I just love technology. Look how easy everything is now. We can order anything we need through our phones, books, televisions, dog food, pizza, and… Oh, wait, let’s take pizza off the list.
Don’t fix it. Just another old adage that seems to have gone the way of transistor radios, eight-track tapes, and record players.
The other day as I was spending time behind the dirty windshield, I happened to notice something you just don’t see any more. Attached to the wall of an abandoned building was a real, honest-to-goodness payphone.
