A Community’s Dilemma: Complaining vs. Voting for Change

I’ve lived in two neighboring towns my whole life, and right now, I’m in the one I grew up in. Lately, the town’s been doing some stuff I don’t get. First off, I barely go on social media anymore, especially Facebook, because it’s such a negative space, and I don’t need that in my life. But now and then, I’ll check in to see what’s happening.

Who Decides the Most

Now that I am sort of retired I have all kinds of free time on my hands. So of course I fill it with productive pursuits. Okay not so much. One thing I do do is hike but now that it’s the dead of winter I rather stay inside. The other day I said to myself “Self, we need to start writing again.” So with that in mind, I came up with some ideas to write about and began to research.

I’ve finally set a retirement date. At least an official one, where I actually live off the government. The Government won’t pay me enough, so I will still have to work a part-time job, but it will be easier on me. Maybe you’ve noticed I have been writing more posts lately.
