Trying to Navigate the Middle of the Road
As you probably know I am a dog person. Since I’ve been with my better half we’ve had three different dogs. Each one unique from the others.

Years ago I had a blog called “Behind a Dirty Windshield“, where I used to ponder the mysteries of life and everyday living from behind the windshield of whatever vehicle I happened to driving at the time. It was fairly successful at the time. I have tried to revive it here.
Continue reading “You Can Go Home Again”Fifty years. I will have been out of high school for fifty years in a couple of months. When you take the time to actually think about it, fifty years is a long darn time. We will be having a fiftieth class reunion in June, and honestly, I am not sure if I am looking forward to it or not.
Continue reading “Fifty Years”I’ve finally set a retirement date. At least an official one, where I actually live off the government. The Government won’t pay me enough, so I will still have to work a part-time job, but it will be easier on me. Maybe you’ve noticed I have been writing more posts lately. Maybe I can start making money this way?
Continue reading “Imagine”I’m sitting here on this Memorial Day wondering why I never seem to write any more. It’s not that I don’t have the time anymore, now that I am “semi-retired” I have more time than ever. But instead of using that time in productive ways, I waste it away watching YouTube videos or playing games on my phone.
Continue reading “Memorial Day Ramblings”I got to spend some time behind the dirty windshield this week. It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance. I did a six hour round trip to Maine.
Continue reading “Duck and Cover”It’s the first day of fall here in New England. Technically I guess it is the first day of fall everywhere. And a dark, dreary, damp day it has been. It IS one of those days that I tend to get depressed while I am driving to a destination.

If I only knew then what I know now. Have you ever heard that? Have you ever said that?
As the years speed past me, I tend to think about that a lot. If I knew how things would turn out I would have made different choices. But I can’t now. We can’t undo what’s done.

I used to enjoy going out to eat. The much better half and I would try to get out once a week, either for breakfast or dinner.

Have you noticed that our lives have been slowly taken over by technology? Slowly isn’t the right word, technology has steamrolled over our lives. Some of us rely on our phones for everything.
